Career

Marián Čišovský's career began in his hometown Humenné with the local first division club 1. HFC Humenné in the 1996/97 season . At first he only rarely got a chance, but in the following years his appearances became more frequent before he finally became a regular player.

In 1999 Čišovský got the opportunity to move to the top Slovak club AŠK Inter Bratislava . After initial difficulties in his first season , which ended with winning the championship, he was able to conquer a regular place in the following season and defend the title with his club. In both years he also won the Slovak Cup . In the following years, Inter could no longer build on these successes and gradually fell back into midfield. In the 2003/04 season , the club was finally in a relegation battle and Čišovský moved to the reigning champions MŠK Žilina at the beginning of the new season .

With Žilina Čišovský could not defend the title and ended up only in second place behind Artmedia Bratislava , he was noticed as a goalscorer for the first time this season with six goals. In the middle of the 2005/06 season he left Žilina and returned to FC Artmedia Petržalka in the capital. After two second places, he won his third double with the championship in 2008 and the cup victory in the same year .

After this success Čišovský left his home country and hired at FC Timișoara in the Romanian League 1 . He also played for the championship with his new club and ended the 2008/09 season as runner-up behind Unirea Urziceni . In the following season he was rarely used due to injury, but was able to recapture his regular place in the team of Western Romanians at the beginning of the 2010/11 season . At the end of the season stood behind Oțelul Galați again the runner-up.

Since his club had been denied admission for the 2011/12 season , Čišovský moved to reigning Czech champions Viktoria Pilsen in the summer of 2011 . With his new team he was able to repeat the 2013 title win and ended his career after the 2014/15 season.
