The milk white steppe candle ( Eremurus lactiflorus ) is a species of the genus steppe candles ( Eremurus ) in the subfamily of the Affodill family (Asphodeloideae).
features
The milk white steppe candle is a perennial herbaceous plant that reaches heights of 55 to 80, rarely up to 100 centimeters. It forms rhizomes . The leaves are linear, green and shiny.
The inflorescence is loose, in culture it can contain up to 100 flowers . The tepals are milk white with a yellow throat. There is a red nerve on their underside. They are yellow in the bud. The capsule fruits have a diameter of about 35 millimeters and are strongly puffed up.
The flowering time is in May and rarely begins in April.
Occurrence
The milk-white steppe candle occurs in West Tian Shan on stony mountain slopes.
