Content and plot

The earth has become uninhabitable due to the impact of a meteorite and mankind consists of only one self-sufficient research station on the moon . The player as the commander of the station has the task of making the earth habitable again. However, the Martians, genetically modified humans for life on Mars , believe they are the heirs of humanity and claim the earth for themselves. This leads to a war with the lunar station.

For the defense against the Martians and the terraforming of the earth, new technologies are required, which the science department on the moon must first research. In some cases, however, these new technologies have high demands on the energy supply or require elements that are not found on the moon. Elements such as silver or platinum have to be mined on other planets or moons and brought to the moon.

A mining station is required for the dismantling of the elements, which must be specially made for each planet or moon. However, not all planets or moons of the solar system offer a habitable climate and on some planets only human mutants , for example methanoids , can live. The individual mining stations have their own energy supply and defense, but have no research or production facilities. There are several types of spaceships available for transporting the resources, which the player can send to their destinations. The loading and unloading process takes place manually, as there is no automated route management for the ships.

In the event of an attack, interceptors and defense satellites are available for the fight against the Martians, but these must always be produced by the player. The fight of the interceptors is represented by a 3D mini-game in which the player can only aim his own hunter and fire his weapons.

Events

In addition to the regularly recurring attacks by the Martians, other events occur that are supposed to bring the player into distress. The first copy of the 'Solagen MK III' solar module explodes shortly after being put into operation, destroying all other Solagen modules. In order to restore this, the player has to temporarily limit the work on the station, otherwise there will not be enough energy available for the production. As a further challenge, a virus attacks the individual colonies in the course of the game and a vaccine has to be developed. It should be noted here that the virus only spreads via the crews of the spaceships in operation and is not distributed randomly.
