Milorad Pilipović (born June 3, 1958 ) is a former Serbian football player and current coach. Most recently, he coached the upper division SGV Freiberg until July 2020 .

Career

As a player

Pilopović's first stations as a player were u. a. the Yugoslav clubs FK Vojvodina Novi Sad and Spartak Subotica . In 1984 he moved to Germany, where he scored 10 goals in 34 games as an attacking midfielder for the second division club SC Freiburg in the 1984/85 season . For the following season he moved to the league and local rivals Karlsruher SC . Here, too, Pilipović immediately became a regular player and rose to the Bundesliga with the KSC under Winfried Schäfer in 1987. In the top German league, Pilipović was 56 times in three years for Baden on the field and scored five goals.

As a trainer

Two months after finishing his active career, Pilopovic started as a coach at FC Emmendingen . After he was released there after one season, he was hired as a scout at FK Red Star Belgrade . In the 2004/05 season he was in charge of the amateur league club FC 08 Villingen , and until the 2009/10 season he was at Bahlinger SC , also in the Baden-Württemberg Oberliga . Since the 2010/11 season he has been coaching the women's team at SC Freiburg, with whom he became champions of the 2nd Bundesliga South and was promoted to the Bundesliga. In February 2014, Pilipovic promised Bahlinger SC his services for the 2014/15 season. Due to the acute risk of relegation, however, he returned to his old place of work in mid-April 2014 and prevented the Bahlinger SC from relegating, which was believed to be safe, in a sensational way in the last seven games of the 2013/14 season . In the following season 2014/15 Pilipovic reached the promotion relegation with Bahlingen as second. There the team prevailed against TSV Lehnerz and SC Hauenstein and thus rose to the Regionalliga Südwest . As a promoted team, the team ended up in 14th place in 2015/16 , which meant a direct relegation to the league. Two points were missing to stay in the league. Immediately after the last game of the season, Pilipovic resigned as coach in Bahlingen.

On November 18, 2019, Pilipovic became the new head coach at SGV Freiberg in the Oberliga Baden-Württemberg. There he signed a contract until June 2021. In the middle of preparing for the 2020/21 league season, the club parted ways with Pilipovic on July 25, 2020.
