Mindaugas Panka (born May 1, 1984 in Alytus ) is a Lithuanian football player . He has been without a club since July 1, 2018.
Career
Panka began his career at Dainava Alytus, where he was active until 2002. In 2002 he moved to FC Vilnius . After two seasons, he moved to Lokomotiv Moscow for one season in 2004 , but was not used in the first team. In 2005 he was fourth in the top Lithuanian league with Vilnius FC, and seventh place could be achieved in the following season.
In 2007 he moved to Vėtra Vilnius , where he only stayed until August 2007. He then moved to Poland to Widzew Łódź . In its first season, the club was relegated from the highest Polish league, it was missing a point to relegate. In the following season you could win the title in the second division, but the club was not allowed to rise due to problems with the license. In 2009/10 the ascent was made. In summer 2012 he moved to league rivals Ruch Chorzów on a free transfer .
In 2013 he moved to Israel to Hapoel Ironi Kirjat Schmona and in 2015/16 he played half a season for Maccabi Petach Tikwa and Hapoel Petach Tikwa . The following year he was under contract with Hapoel Akko . At the beginning of 2018 he returned to his homeland to Atlantas Klaipėda , where his contract was terminated in the middle of the year. Since then he has been without a new club.
National team
For Lithuania, Panka played a total of 39 times in the senior team. He made his debut in the friendly international match against Estonia on November 22, 2008 in Kuressaare . He came on in the 63rd minute. The game ended 1-1.
