The Mingardo is a river in southwest Italy. It mostly runs in the Cilento and Vallo di Diano National Park . The communities on the river have merged to form the Comunità Montana Zona del Lambro e del Mingardo .

geography

The source of the Bussento rises on Monte Cervati , a 1,898 m high mountain near Rofrano in the province of Salerno ( Campania ). In the further course it flows mainly in a southerly direction past the Alfano to the west , and then continues to flow in a southerly direction. At San Severino (Centola) he dug a deep cut in the rock. The further course is in a narrow valley until it flows into the Tyrrhenian Sea at Palinuro .

Hydrology

The water of the Mingardo comes mainly from the spring and smaller tributaries.
