Alfano is a southern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 989 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Salerno in the Campania region . It is part of the Comunità Montana Zona del Lambro e del Mingardo . The patron saint is St. Nicholas of Myra .

Alfano is located south of Salerno in the Cilento within the Cilento and Vallo di Diano National Park . The municipality covers an area of ​​4.82  km² .
