Montano Antilia is a southern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 1912 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Salerno in the Campania region . It is part of the Comunità Montana Zona del Lambro e del Mingardo . The patron saint of the place is St. Sebastian .

geography

The place is located southeast of Salerno near the town of Vallo della Lucania in the Cilento within the Cilento and Vallo di Diano National Park , about 3.5 kilometers from the Mediterranean Sea. The Monte Gelbison rises not far . The municipality covers an area of ​​33.44  km² . The place is at an altitude of 767 meters above sea level, making it the highest place in the Cilento. Districts ( frazioni ) are Abatemarco and Massicelle. The neighboring municipalities are Celle di Bulgheria , Centola , Futani , Laurito , Novi Velia , Rofrano and San Mauro la Bruca .
