Celle di Bulgheria (short Celle Bulgheria ) is a southern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 1804 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Salerno in the Campania region . It is part of the Comunità Montana Zona del Lambro e del Mingardo . The patron saint of the place is Maria Schnee . The place is named after Bulgarian migrants who settled in the region in the early Middle Ages.

Celle di Bulgheria is located south of Salerno and near Vallo della Lucania in the Cilento within the Cilento and Vallo di Diano National Park . The municipality covers an area of ​​31.62  km² . The place is at an altitude of 234 meters above sea level. The neighboring municipalities are Camerota , Centola , Laurito , Montano Antilia and Roccagloriosa . The district ( frazione ) Poderia belongs to the municipality . Celle lies at the foot of the 1,225 meter high Monte Bulgheria .
