Capaccio is located on the coast of the Tyrrhenian Sea , about 50 km south of Salerno .

The eleven districts ( frazioni ) are Cafasso / Borgo Nuovo, Capaccio Scalo, Capo di Fiume, Gromola / Foce Sele, Laura , Ponte Barizzo, Rettifilo / Vannulo, Spinazzo / Varco Cilentano, Santa Venere, Seude, Torre / Licinella, Vuccolo Maiorano. The neighboring municipalities are Agropoli , Albanella , Cicerale , Eboli , Giungano , Roccadaspide and Trentinara . The place is part of the Costiera Cilentana .
