Costiera Cilentana
The Costiera Cilentana (German) local community of the coastal communities of Cilentos is an amalgamation of the below listed Italian communities from the Gulf of Salerno and the Gulf of Policastro ( Campania ) with the aim of promoting nature conservation and constantly improving water quality.
To this end, the community works with the Italian environmental protection organization Legambiente , as well as with the eco-label The Blue Flag , which is awarded every year to beaches and marinas where a consistently high standard of bathing water quality was maintained in the previous season.
Many of the places are also part of the Cilento and Vallo di Diano National Park .
