Centola is an Italian commune with 5087 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Salerno in the Campania region . It is part of the Comunità Montana Zona del Lambro e del Mingardo .

geography

The place is located in the west of the Cilento National Park about 3.5 km from the Mediterranean Sea. Four other localities belong to the municipality: Forìa, Palinuro , San Nicola and San Severino .
The neighboring communities are Camerota , Celle di Bulgheria , Montano Antilia , Pisciotta , San Mauro la Bruca . Centola is part of the Cilento and Vallo di Diano National Park .
