Omignano is a southwestern Italian municipality with 1646 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Salerno ( Campania region ). The place is located in the west of the Cilento National Park on the eastern slope of Monte Stella . Two other villages belong to the municipality: Cerreta and Pirolepre. The neighboring communities are Casal Velino , Lustra , Salento , Sessa Cilento and Stella Cilento . Omignano is part of the Cilento and Vallo di Diano National Park and the Comunità Montana Alento-Monte Stella .
