Tramonti is an Italian commune with 4131 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Salerno in the Campania region . It belongs to the mountain commune Comunità Montana Penisola Amalfitana . The name of the municipality is derived from "intra montes" (surrounded by mountains).

Neighboring municipalities are Cava de 'Tirreni , Corbara , Lettere ( NA ), Maiori , Nocera Inferiore , Nocera Superiore , Pagani , Ravello and Sant'Egidio del Monte Albino .

The districts are called Campinola, Capitignano, Cesarano, Corsano, Figlino, Gete, Novella, Paterno Sant'Arcangelo, Paterno Sant'Elia, Pietre, Polvica, Ponte and Pucara. The seat of the municipal administration is in Polvica.

Attractions

The Conservatorio di San Giuseppe e Teresa was a convent dedicated to Saints Joseph and Theresa, built between 1662 and 1723. The nuns there produced a herbal liqueur called “Concerto”, a local specialty. Today the buildings are threatened with decay.
