Prignano Cilento is a municipality with 957 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in southwest Italy in the province of Salerno ( Campania region ).

The place is located in the west of the Cilento National Park about 4 km east of Agropoli .

The localities Melito and San Giuliano also belong to the municipality. The neighboring municipalities are Agropoli , Cicerale , Ogliastro Cilento , Perito and Rutino .

Prignano Cilento is located on a hill about 415 meters high, northeast of Monte Stella , the highest mountain in the vicinity, and is part of the Cilento and Vallo di Diano National Park , as well as the Comunità Montana Alento-Monte Stella .
