Hirschbach is a district of the market Bad Birnbach in the Lower Bavarian district of Rottal-Inn .

location

Hirschbach is located about four kilometers northwest of Bad Birnbach, a little off the federal highway 388 . It takes its name from the Hirschbach, a small tributary of the Rott .

history

Hirschbach was first mentioned in the 12th and 13th centuries. It formed a Hofmark , whose owners exercised the lower jurisdiction . At different times the rulers were owned by the Holups, the Tattenbachers , the Ortenburgers , who were still owned by Hirschbach in 1802, and the Reichenbergers. Originally a branch of Birnbach from an ecclesiastical point of view, Hirschbach became a branch in 1859 and a parish in 1897 .

The Hirschbach community emerged in 1818 from the tax district of the same name. It was enlarged by Brombach on April 1, 1971 , but came to Birnbach on July 1, 1972 with the regional reform in Bavaria . In 1982 Hirschbach, which has since been equipped with two new village fountains, was chosen by a jury as the “most beautiful village in the Rottal-Inn district”.
