The Ministry of the Interior, Education and the Environment is one of the five ministries of the Liechtenstein State Administration (LLV). It summarizes the areas of responsibility that are carried out in other countries by the Ministry of the Interior , the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of the Environment . Interior

The Ministry of the Interior is responsible for the security and rescue services , the Civil Protection , for civil rights and political rights of the people , the Civil Status and immigration law. He is also responsible for supervising the communities .

The Office for Civil Protection (ABS), which has existed since 2007, is responsible for training fire brigades and civil protection. In civil defense, in contrast to Switzerland, there is no compulsory service. The office creates nationwide hazard maps and, in conjunction with the Swiss Federal Office for National Economic Supply, organizes the supply of the population in emergency situations.

The Immigration and Passport Office (APA) issues passports , identity cards , and permits for foreigners and cross-border commuters .

The state police is divided into the three departments of security and traffic police, criminal police and the command services. The state police employ over 80 police officers. The National Police has been an associated member of the Eastern Switzerland Police Concordat since 2003 .

The civil registry office (ZSA) carries out marriages and notarizes births , partnerships and deaths of Liechtenstein citizens at home and abroad. Until 1973, the registry office districts led by local pastors were responsible for civil status.

The Office for Vocational Education and Training (ABB) runs a career counseling service in Schaan with an affiliated career information center (BIZ) and supervises apprenticeship training . It approves apprenticeship contracts and issues certificates of proficiency .

The Education Authority (SA) is responsible for the planning, maintenance and further development of school operations in all public schools in Liechtenstein . In addition, it bears the responsibility for personnel for the more than 600 teachers and other school staff. In the area of kindergartens and primary schools , the education office is supported by the local community school councils, who have the right to make suggestions for the employment of kindergarten teachers. The office works with foreign bodies, e.g. B. with the Swiss Education Directors Conference (EDK), and supports the government in the supervision of Liechtenstein universities .

Despite the barriers, the Rhine still represents a danger. An international development concept is intended to improve the areas of flood security, groundwater and ecology.

The Office for the Environment (AU) is responsible for all matters relating to environmental protection , agriculture as well as forest and landscape. It advises and informs the public and is involved in drawing up new environmental protection regulations. In addition to national environmental policy, involvement in international environmental and climate policy has played a greater role since the late 1990s.
