Minna Borée
Minna Borée , married Minna Koegel-Borée (born December 8, 1846 in Elbingerode , † September 18, 1890 in Gauting near Munich) was a German opera singer ( alto ). She worked mainly at the city theater in Hamburg .
Life
Trained in Leipzig , she got her first engagement at the opera house there (1868–1873). In 1874 she went to the Stadttheater Hamburg for two years, in the meantime switched to the Deutsches Theater in Prague and worked again in Hamburg until the end of her career in 1884. Since her marriage to the renowned Hamburg bass singer Josef Kögel , she has also performed under the name Minna Borée-Kögel. She made guest appearances at leading opera houses in the entire German-speaking area and was also well versed in the concert and oratorio subject. She died at the age of 43.
A relationship with the actor Albert Borée (1864–1910), who was also born in Elbingerode, is obvious, but the status of the degree of relationship is unclear.
