Minu Barati
Minu Barati (also Minu Barati-Fischer ; born November 11, 1975 in West Berlin ) is a German-Iranian film producer and screenwriter . She is the wife of Joschka Fischer .
education and profession
Minu Barati attended the Queen Luise Foundation , a private school in Berlin-Zehlendorf . She then studied from 2001 to 2005 at the German Film and Television Academy Berlin (dffb) in the producer class. Then Minu Barati worked for Cologne-based action concept Film- und Stuntproduktion GmbH and other production companies. In 2009, Minu Barati started her own production company, Jooyaa Filmproduktion . In 2013 she produced her first feature film with Siberia , of all places , for which she also wrote the screenplay with Michael Ebmeyer .
In 2013 she was on the jury of the MIRA Awards .
family
Minu Barati is the daughter of Nosratollah Barati-Novbari , aka Mehran Barati. He is a leading Iranian opposition politician in the Kurdistan-Iran Democratic Party and narrowly escaped the 1992 attack on Mykonos . In 1999 Minu Barati had a daughter.
She had been in a relationship with Joschka Fischer since summer 2003 . At the Federal Press Ball in November 2004, both appeared together in public for the first time.
As early as July 2003, the tabloid BZ reported several days in a row about the foreign minister's partner - not yet official at the time - describing her as a "luxury woman" and published private photos. In April 2005, Minu Barati obtained compensation for pain and suffering in the amount of 30,000 euros from the newspaper in a lawsuit before the Berlin Regional Court.
On October 29, 2005, Minu Barati and Joschka Fischer married. The wedding in Rome made her his fifth wife. The couple lives with Minu Barati's daughter in Berlin-Grunewald .
