Mira Koffka
Mira Koffka (born August 11, 1886 in Berlin as Miriam Maxa Klein; † 1977/78, further details of her life unknown) was a German translator .
Life
In 1909 Mira Klein married the psychologist and co-founder of Gestalt psychology Kurt Koffka , whose name she kept after the divorce in 1923. Mira Klein Koffka was the granddaughter of the women's rights activist Hedwig Dohm , daughter of the sculptor Max Klein and his wife Eva, nee. Dohm. Her parents' house was located directly on Kreuzberg (Lichterfelder Strasse 28, today Methfesselstrasse 17). She was the stepdaughter of the publisher Georg Bondi and a great admirer of Stefan George , whom she met in her stepfather's house.
She received her doctorate in 1910 from the University of Munich with a paper on Jean Paul .
In 1934 she joined her stepfather's Bondi publishing house in Berlin.
