Zuzanna Szadkowski (born October 22, 1978 in Warsaw , Poland ) is a Polish - American actress , best known for her role as Dorota Kishlovsky in the series Gossip Girl .

Private life

Szadkowski attended Barnard College in New York City and went to the Institute for Advanced Theater Training at Harvard University / MXAT. She has worked in the theater in New York City, regionally (directors Robert Woodruff, Sam Weisman, Marcus Stern), and in Warsaw and Moscow.

Zuzanna Szadkowski was born in Warsaw , Poland on October 22, 1978 and moved to the United States when she was three . About her nationality and the Polish accent she has in Gossip Girl , she said: “I was born in Poland, so I am able to identify with her in that way. Szadkowski made her acting debut in 2006. She put two characters in Law & Order . In 2007, Szadkowski appeared in two episodes of The Sopranos . In the television series Gossip Girl , she played Blair Waldorf's ( Leighton Meester ) maid for five years . In 2009, CW produced six episodes of the spin-off Chasing Dorota .

In 2009 Szadkowski had a small role in the independence film Where Is Joel Baum? . She appeared in three episodes of the TV series Guiding Light . In 2011, Szadkowski starred in the short film The Pilot Season Survival Guide .
