Zuzanna Szadkowski
Zuzanna Szadkowski (born October 22, 1978 in Warsaw , Poland ) is a Polish - American actress , best known for her role as Dorota Kishlovsky in the series Gossip Girl .
Private life
Szadkowski attended Barnard College in New York City and went to the Institute for Advanced Theater Training at Harvard University / MXAT. She has worked in the theater in New York City, regionally (directors Robert Woodruff, Sam Weisman, Marcus Stern), and in Warsaw and Moscow.
Zuzanna Szadkowski was born in Warsaw , Poland on October 22, 1978 and moved to the United States when she was three . About her nationality and the Polish accent she has in Gossip Girl , she said: “I was born in Poland, so I am able to identify with her in that way. Szadkowski currently resides in Downtown , Brooklyn . In 2010 she and Sam Weisman opened an acting school, the Sam Weisman Studio in New York City.
Career
Szadkowski made her acting debut in 2006. She put two characters in Law & Order . In 2007, Szadkowski appeared in two episodes of The Sopranos . In the television series Gossip Girl , she played Blair Waldorf's ( Leighton Meester ) maid for five years . In 2009, CW produced six episodes of the spin-off Chasing Dorota .
In 2009 Szadkowski had a small role in the independence film Where Is Joel Baum? . She appeared in three episodes of the TV series Guiding Light . In 2011, Szadkowski starred in the short film The Pilot Season Survival Guide .
