Miroslav Šmajda , Miro Šmajda or Max Jason Mai (born November 27, 1988 in Košice , Czechoslovakia ) is a Slovak singer. He sang for Slovakia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 .

Live and act

Šmajda grew up with his Slovak mother in eastern Slovakia, the father is a Czech. Šmajda finished second in the Czech-Slovak Superstar in 2009 . In November 2010 he released his first album Čo sa týka lásky (As for love). The broadcasting corporation RTVS selected him in November 2011 for the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 . In Baku he finally sang the song Don't Close Your Eyes under the stage name Max Jason Mai , but was eliminated in the second semifinals.
