Misconduct is a hardcore punk band from Kristinehamn , Sweden, founded in 1995 .

history

The idea behind the creation of Misconduct was to continue the hardcore principles, attitudes and morals of the 80s and early 90s, as exemplified by other big bands on the scene.

The first releases of the band, which are more likely to be assigned to old-school hardcore , appeared from 1997 to 2001 on the Swedish record label Bad Taste Records .

From the EP New Beginning , which was released in 2002, Misconduct was signed to Side By Side Records , which was founded in 2002 by Fredrik Olssons' wife Marielle .

With the album United as one , which was released in 2003, Misconduct changed their music style to melodic hardcore or punk rock . The album became a huge success. Music videos for the songs New Beginning , No Boundaries and Side by Side were broadcast on Scandinavian music television.

Misconduct have been on tour in Scandinavia, Europe and North America in recent years, together with bands like Donots , Sick of It All , Hatebreed , Satanic Surfers , Slapshot , AFI , Anti-Flag , Ignite , Gob , Chixdiggit and Dropkick Murphys .

In early 2010 the band announced their new album One Step Closer , which was released on April 12, 2010 on the record label I Scream Records . Before that, the band released their new music video for their first single Closer on March 1, 2010 . The video was produced by well-known director Patric Ullaeus , who has made music videos for bands like Europe and Dimmu Borgir .
