As central Croatia , Croatian ( Croatian Središnja Hrvatska ), core Croatia , high-Croatia or Alt-Croatia is in about the area now Croatia without the regions Istria , Dalmatia and Slavonia designated.

It includes the Croatian coastal region ( Hrvatsko primorje ), the Dinaric mountain region ( Kordun , Lika , Gorski kotar , etc.), the capital Zagreb with the Medvednica mountains ( Hrvatsko Prigorje ), the Croatian mountainous region ( Hrvatsko zagorje ) and the Croatian Murland ( Međimurje ).
