The Mitterlingbach is a brook in the municipality of Kals am Großglockner ( Lienz district ). The brook rises south-east of the Vorderen Kendlspitze ( Granatspitz group ) and flows into the Kalserbach west of Spöttling-Taurer . The field name Mitterlingbach is derived from the vernacular name for a "property between two streams".

course

The Mitterlingbach rises below the so-called Kendl , a valley head between the Vorderer and Hinterer Kendlspitze in the west and the Ganimitz in the east. It initially flows to the southeast and in the area of the Pahlalm takes on a source stream on the right side, which rises below the Brunnerkogel . It then flows to the east and reaches the tree line, with the right bank of the Mitterlingbach remaining unforested up to the lower reaches. The Mitterlingbach supports a waterfall in the lower reaches and flows west of Spöttling-Taurer on the right side into the Kalserbach. A little further south, the Teischnitzbach also flows into the Kalserbach on the left.
