Modestas Vaičiulis (born April 11, 1989 in Ignalina ) is a Lithuanian cross-country skier .

Career

Vaičiulis has participated in competitions organized by the Fédération Internationale de Ski since 2008 . He ran his first of 27 World Cup races in November 2008 in Kuusamo , which he finished with 75th place in the sprint. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Liberec in 2009 , he finished 49th in the sprint. At the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver , he reached 54th place in the sprint and 18th place in the team sprint. His best results at the Nordic World Ski Championships 2011 in Oslo were 57th place in the sprint and 17th place in the team sprint. At the Nordic World Ski Championships 2015 in Falun , he finished 66th in the sprint and 20th in the team sprint. In January 2017 he became Lithuanian sprint champion in Madona . The following month he won 67th place in the sprint at the Nordic World Ski Championships in Lahti and 20th place together with Tautvydas Strolia in the team sprint. The following year he ran at the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang on 96th place over 15 km freestyle, on 44th place in sprint and on 24th place together with Mantas Strolia in team sprint.
