Mogwase is a place in the South African province of Northwest (North West). It is the administrative seat of the community of Moses Kotane in the Bojanala Platinum district .

Mogwase had 10,743 inhabitants at the 2011 census. 67% of residents said Setswana was their first language. The place consists of several scattered districts. Mogwase is located on the eastern edge of the Pilanesberg near Sun City .
Economy and Transport
The place benefits from platinum mining in surrounding communities, but is in a rural setting.
The R510 trunk road, which connects Rustenburg in the south with Thabazimbi in the north, runs through Mogwase, which also has a freight station on the freight line from Pretoria via Rustenburg and Thabazimbi to the Matimba power station .
