Mohamed Ahmed al-Mannai (born September 12, 1992 ) is a Qatari athlete who specializes in the decathlon .

Athletic career

Mohamed Ahmed al-Mannai gained his first international experience at the 2009 World Youth Championships in Bressanone , where he won the silver medal behind Frenchman Kevin Mayer with 6232 points . The following year he won the Junior Asian Championships in Hanoi with 7078 points and thus qualified for the Junior World Championships , where he had to end his competition prematurely after two disciplines. In 2014, he first took part in the Asian Games in Incheon , South Korea , but did not finish the competition either. In 2015 he won the silver medal at the Arab Championships in Manama with 7,232 points and took part in the Asian Championships in Wuhan , but was again unable to contest all individual disciplines. At the military world games in Mungyeon , he was also eliminated with 7.03 m in the long jump qualification. In 2016 he finished seventh in the indoor heptathlon with a new national record of 5391 points at the 2016 Asian Indoor Championships in Doha .

In 2018 he again took part in the Asian Games in Jakarta and finished fifth with 7442 points. The following year he could not finish his competition at the Asian Championships in Doha .
