Mohamed Reda el-Aaraby (born November 12, 1989 ) is a Moroccan long-distance runner .

Athletic career

Mohamed Reda el-Aaraby gained his first international experience at the Casablanca Half Marathon 2015, in which he finished second after 1:04:01 h. The following year he won the La Rochelle half marathon in 1:04:59 h and was at the Vannes Semi Marathon Int. D'Auray third with 1:04:40 h. In 2017 he finished third in the Marrakech half marathon and second in the Casablanca half marathon. In the 10,000 meter run at the Francophonie Games in Abidjan , he won the bronze medal in 29: 42.12 minutes behind his compatriots Soufiane Bouqantar and Jamal Hitrane . At the Daegu Marathon he finished third with 2:09:50 h and qualified for the World Championships in London , where he came in 30th with 2:17:50 h. The following year he finished second in the Marrakech half marathon and won the Mediterranean Games in Tarragona in 1:04:03 h. In November he won the Beirut Marathon in 2:10:41 h. In 2019 he won silver at the Africa Games in Rabat in 1:02:44 h behind the Kenyan Titus Ekiru . Then he could not finish his run in the marathon at the world championships in Doha , but then won the military world games in Wuhan in 28: 44.55 minutes over 10,000 meters. In the marathons in Hefei and Osaka , he came in second. In 2020 he won the Semi Marathon International de Marrakech in 1:01:25 h.
