Mohammed Sleem (born January 14, 1892 in Lahore  ? † after 1934 ; also Mohammed Saleem ) was an Indian lawyer and tennis player.

Career

Sleem won the Punjab Championships in Lahore in 1915 and from 1919 to 1926 . In 1922 he won the Indian championships in Allahabad .

In 1921 he first took part in the Wimbledon Championships and reached the round of 16. In the same year he reached the final of the Queen's Club Championships , but was defeated there by the Japanese Zenzo Shimizu . In 1928 and 1934 he was also able to advance to the second round at the French championships .

Sleem also took part in the 1924 Olympics, reaching the third round in singles. There he was eliminated from the eventual Olympic champion Vincent Richards .

Between 1921 and 1934 Sleem played for India in the Davis Cup . He won all seven single games and seven of his eight doubles.
