Momir Đurović

Momir D. Đurović (born May 7, 1941 in Grliću, Danilovgrad , Independent State of Montenegro ) is a Montenegrin engineering scientist.

Life

Đurović studied electrical engineering at the University of Belgrade . From 1965 to 1969 he worked as an electrical engineer. From 1970 to 1970 he completed a doctoral degree at Imperial College London . He then worked as a research assistant at the University in Titograd , in 1974 as a lecturer and since 1979 as an associate professor. After his habilitation in 1985, he was appointed full professor of electrical engineering at the University of Montenegro and was dean of the electrical engineering faculty from 1973 to 1978.

In 1993 he was admitted to the Montenegrin Academy of Sciences and Arts , was its secretary from 2001 and has been President of the Montenegrin Academy of Sciences and Arts, the highest institution for sciences and arts in Montenegro, since 2002.

Đurović has published over 250 scientific papers. He is a member of various national and international scientific bodies such as the European Academy of Sciences and Arts and the Tesla Memorial Society of New York . In addition to various awards, he was honored with an honorary doctorate from the Moldovan Academy of Sciences (Academia de Științe a Moldovei) .
