Monne Lentz (born August 11, 1987 in Hofgeismar ; formerly formally: Monika Lentz ) is a German politician from Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen and was a member of the Hessian state parliament from May 2012 to the beginning of 2014 .

Life and work

Lentz studied political science and sociology at the University of Kassel and graduated with a bachelor's degree in summer 2012. She also works as an artist. In March 2012, she finished her two-year part-time training as a peace specialist for the organization "violent free trade eV" with a focus on non- violent communication and conflict management.

Since the end of her mandate in the Hessian state parliament (see politics), Lentz has been working as an independent coach.

politics

Since 2008 Lentz has been a member of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen and the Green Youth . From 2008 to 2010 she was an assessor and spokesperson for women's policy in the state board of the Green Youth Hesse and from 2008 to 2009 a member of the women's commission in the Federal Association of Green Youth. In the period from 2008 to 2010 she was first secretary, then spokeswoman for the Green Youth Waldeck-Frankenberg.

On May 2, 2012, she replaced the resigned MP Andreas Juergens in the state parliament. In the state parliament, Lentz was responsible for the issues of youth, drugs, women and equality. From June 2013 to February 2015 Lentz was one of the two chairmen of the Kassel Greens.
