The Monte Leco (in Ligurian : Monte Lecco ) is a 1071 meter high mountain on the border of the northern Italian metropolitan city of Genoa and the province of Alessandria . It is located in the Ligurian Apennines . The mountain top, on which several television transmission towers have been erected, can be reached via a private road from the Passo della Bocchetta .

From the summit of Monte Leco you have a view over the Val Polcevera and the surrounding mountains Monte Figogna , Monte delle Figne , Monte Tobbio and Monte Antola . To the north, beyond the Val Lemme , you can see Novi Ligure and the surrounding plain. When visibility is particularly good, you can see the profile of Corsica in the south and Monte Rosa and the Matterhorn in the north .
