Montemaggiore al Metauro (in the local dialect: Mónt Magiór ) is a place and a former Italian municipality ( comune ) in the province of Pesaro and Urbino in the Marches . Montemaggiore al Metauro belongs to the municipality of Colli al Metauro .

history

The municipality of Montemaggiore al Metauro was merged with Serrungarina and Saltara on January 1, 2017 to form the new municipality of Colli al Metauro, it consisted of the fractions Fiordipiano, Sanliberio and Villanova. The municipality had 2893 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2015) on an area of ​​13.04 km² and was part of the Comunità montana del Metauro .

The patron saint is Philipp Neri .
