Serrungarina (in the local dialect Sungarina ) is a place in the province of Pesaro and Urbino in the Marche region . Serrungarina belongs to the municipality of Colli al Metauro .

geography

Serrungarina is located about 18.5 kilometers south-southwest of Pesaro and about 19 kilometers east-northeast of Urbino . Serrungarina belongs to the Comunità montana del Metauro . The Metauro formed the southeastern boundary of the municipality. The place is at an altitude of 209 m slm

The neighboring communities of Serrungarina were Cartoceto , Mombaroccio , Monteciccardo , Montefelcino , Montemaggiore al Metauro , Orciano di Pesaro , Saltara and Sant'Ippolito .

history

The municipality of Serrungarina was on 1 January 2017 Montemaggiore al Metauro and Saltara merged to form the new municipality of Colli al Metauro, it consisted of the fractions Bargni, Pozzuolo and Tavernelle and had 2,634 inhabitants (December 31, 2015) on an area of 22, 98 km².

The patron saint is Anthony the Great .

The Strada Statale 73 to di Bocca Trabaria (also E78 ) leads through the municipality from San Giustino to Fano .
