Monzavous Edwards

Monzavous Edwards (born May 7, 1981 ) is a Nigerian sprinter of American descent.

In 2004 he was tested positive for tetrahydrocannabinol in a competition and was warned for this violation of the doping regulations .

At the Pan American Games in Rio de Janeiro in 2007 , he won bronze in the 4 x 100 meter relay . He reached the semi-finals over 100 m at the World Athletics Championships in Berlin in 2009 and was fourth at the 2010 Athletics Continental Cup in Split. At the Pan American Games in Guadalajara in 2011 , he again won bronze in the US 4 x 100 meter relay.

He has been working for Nigeria since 2014. In the same year he was sixth in the 4-by-100-meter relay at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow . At the African Athletics Championships in Marrakech he won bronze over 100 m and gold with the Nigerian 4 x 100 meter relay, and at the Athletics Continental Cup in Marrakech he came third with the African 4 x 100 meter relay .
