Moody Island is a 16 km long and icy island in the Marshall Archipelago off the Saunders coast of the West Antarctic Marie Byrd Land . It is located in the Sulzberger Ice Shelf between Kizer Island and Steventon Island .

The United States Geological Survey mapped them using the United States Navy's own surveys and aerial photographs from 1959 to 1965. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named them in 1966 after Edward Lester Moody (1911–1984), a dog sled driver on the second Antarctic expedition (1933) –1935) by the American polar explorer Richard Evelyn Byrd .
