The Moratsch ( Belarusian Морач ; Russian Морочь, Копанка Kopanka ) is a right tributary of the Slutsch in the Belarusian Minskaya Woblasz .

The Moratsch rises on the Kapyler ridge , about 10 km east of the district administrative center Kapyl . From there it flows mainly in a southerly direction. It flows west of the Slutsch, which also flows south. To the west of Salihorsk the Moratsch is dammed up to form the Krasnoslobodskoje reservoir. It is completely canalized below the reservoir. It finally flows northwest of the homonymous village of Moratsch into the Slutsch, a tributary of the Pripyat in the catchment area of the Dnieper .

The Moratsch has a length of 150 km. It drains an area of 2300 km². The river is mainly fed by the snowmelt . It usually leads to floods in March and April . The mean discharge is 8.7 m³ / s. In summer and autumn there can be floods due to heavy precipitation events. Moratsch freezes in December. In March / early April the ice cover usually breaks up again. At least in the past, rafting was carried out on the river .
