Mordbach (Little Dhron)

The Mordbach is a left tributary of the Kleine Dhron in the Hunsrück in Rhineland-Palatinate .

It has a length of 3.7 km, a catchment area of 5.0 km² and the water code number 2676876.

It rises at 429 m above sea level near the federal highway 1 in the district of Mehring (Moselle) . Another source is on the boundary of Detzem and Mehring near Mordborn at about 406 m above sea level near Landesstraße 150 .

The stream flows past Schleicherberg to the Detzemer Wald and then accompanies the L 150 on the district from Naurath (Wald) to Büdlicherbrück . There it flows into the small Dhron in the district of Büdlich and at the cutting mill at 242 m above sea level.

On the upper course of the Mordbach was the high court Detzem and on the lower course is the Gewann Auf dem Galgenberg .

On the topographical survey of the Rhineland at the beginning of the 19th century, the upper reaches of the Mordbach is referred to as the Schleicher Bach .
