Adelina Pismak ( Russian Аделина Письмак ) was born on October 9, 1990 in Novoorsk , Orenburg Oblast , Soviet Union . She spoke Russian as her mother tongue, German fluently and also a little English.

“ The 10-year-old from Bremen-Kattenturm ( Obervieland district ) was last seen on Thursday, June 28, 2001, at around 5:30 p.m. on the way back from her grandfather to her parents' apartment. On October 7, 2001, Adelina's body was found wrapped in a blue plastic bag by a mushroom picker. That was Locality Pastor grove in the Leester march in the town of Weyhe -Leeste near Bremen. It is an approx. 180 × 46 m large piece of forest in a predominantly agricultural area south of Bremen.
The act committed by one or more unknown perpetrators is a sexual offense. In the immediate vicinity of the storage location, six women's swimsuits, one maternity girdle, one top and three tights were found buried in the forest floor. At the time, the case received media coverage that lasted for several years, but it ebbed over the years. But even five, ten or 17 years later, the case was still reported. As a suspect Marc Hoffmann , who has meanwhile been sentenced to life imprisonment , was brought to the site of the girl's body by officials in September 2005. This measure was intended to induce the suspect to also confess the murder of Adelina. However, Hoffmann has not confessed to this murder to this day. However, he is said to have confessed to a cellmate.
