This is at the confluence of Kaiserslautern border wing and Hunter Homes wing about 720 meters above sea level on the road between Bockau and hunting lodge.

Murder of Elisabeth Charlotte Müller

Elisabeth Charlotte Müller (born November 30, 1906; † April 13, 1930) was the daughter of a Leipzig lawyer . The then 23-year-old pharmacy student was in April 1930 for a cure in the Radiumbad Oberschlema . She went on long hikes in the wider area to photograph landscapes and animals. The spa administration reported on April 17, 1930 that she had been missing since April 13, 1930. The father offered a reward of 500 Reichsmarks for the discovery. On April 19, 1930, the gendarmerie and police officers carried out a patrol through the forest area between Bockau and Jägerhaus.

On May 21, 1930, there was speculation whether she was kidnapped to Karlsbad in Czechoslovakia . In the meantime, the Zwickau police headquarters had received an anonymous letter stating that the coat and handbag were in the luggage storage at Chemnitz main station . Both were found there. The police assumed a murder . The suspect was Willy Leischke from Bockau. The basket maker and construction worker had checked in the luggage at Chemnitz main station. He was under suspicion of murder and was in custody taken. He himself stated that he had nothing to do with the crime. He was not in the vicinity of Bockau on the suspected day of the murder.

The search for the missing person continued in the forest area between Bockau and Jägerhaus. At the same time, comparisons were made between Leischke's handwriting and the anonymous letter. They clearly showed that Leischke must have written the letter. This denied everything.

On May 23, 1930, the forest between Bockau and Jägerhaus was searched again, accompanied by Leischke. He led the officers through the forest and gave no clues about the crime scene. An officer scraped aside a piece of moss with his foot and found the body . Leischke confessed to having seen the dead woman, but not having committed the murder. When Leischke was taken to this place again a day later, he confessed to the fact. He led the student into an aisle where she was gagged and choked to prevent her from screaming and to rape her. Then she collapsed dead.

The body of Elisabeth Charlotte Müller was taken to a wooden shed at the hunter's house and dissected there . Leischke was led to the section table. There he collapsed. Leischke sat mid-June 1930 in custody in Zwickau . He was suspected of having committed other moral crimes. When he was brought to Aue for a confrontation, he was found to have had two further attempted sexual crimes. The Saxon judiciary sentenced him to death . The perpetrator committed suicide in prison suicide before the judgment could be enforced.
