Moritz Gottwald

Moritz Gottwald (* 1988 in Halle an der Saale ) is a German theater and film actor .

Live and act

Gottwald already acted in his childhood, in his youth he worked in theater sport for ten years . From 2008 to 2012 he studied drama at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Art in Berlin . Stranded brightly in An der Saale. In 2007 he was on stage for the first time in a professional production of a home play in the New Theater Halle . Gottwald has been a permanent part of the ensemble at the Schaubühne on Lehniner Platz in Berlin since 2011 . The director there, Thomas Ostermeier, says about him: Gottwald is unashamedly talented. For his extraordinary performance at the Schaubühne, Gottwald was awarded the Daphne Prize by the TheaterGemeinde Berlin in 2016. In 2019 Gottwald was a guest at the Salzburg Festival with the play Jugend ohne Gott .

Gottwald has also been a film actor since 2019; he made his debut in the television film Der Feind produced for ARD .
