Morra ( West Frisian Moarre ) is a village in the municipality of Noardeast-Fryslân in the Dutch province of Friesland . It is located northeast of Dokkum and has 225 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017).

The name of the village Morra means swampy land and even today Morra is still surrounded by a lot of swampy moorland . It is believed that people lived in Morra even before our era. Morra was built on a terp and there is a medieval church from the 13th century in the village .
