Moses Lamidi (born January 5, 1988 in Lagos , Nigeria ) is a German - Nigerian soccer player. He was born in Nigeria and has had German citizenship since 2006 .
Career
The attacker comes from the youth department of Alemannia Aachen . At the beginning of the 2003/04 season he moved to Borussia Mönchengladbach .
Lamidi knew how to convince in the youth teams of Borussia. For this reason he was allowed to train sporadically with the professionals after the winter break. For the game on March 31, 2007 against Eintracht Frankfurt , the offensive talent of coach Jos Luhukay was appointed to the Bundesliga squad for the first time . In this game Lamidi was surprisingly in the starting line-up, but was substituted in the 68th minute. On December 14, 2007, he signed a professional contract valid until summer 2010 . In total, he came to five Bundesliga games this season, which ended with the relegation of Borussia. In the second division 2007/08 season, however, he only came to a single brief assignment.
For the 2010/11 season he moved to the second division club Rot-Weiß Oberhausen , where he signed a two-year contract and got the number 11 on his back . In the very first game of the season, he scored two goals in the 3-2 defeat at Hertha BSC , which was also his first ever in professional football.
On May 25, 2011 Lamidi announced his move to Karlsruher SC , where he signed a contract until 2012 and got the number 8 on his back. For Karlsruhe he came on October 21, 2011 in the game against VfL Bochum for the first time in the second Bundesliga when he came on in the second half for Marco Terrazzino . After the KSC could not prevent relegation to the 3rd division, Lamidi received no new contract in Karlsruhe. He initially remained without a club and only joined the FSV Frankfurt at the beginning of September 2012 . There he primarily strengthened the second team in the Regionalliga Südwest , but was also nominated several times for the professional squad and came to several short appearances in the 2nd Bundesliga.
Lamidi, who is said to be especially quick, was a German U20 national player and played a total of five games in which he scored once against the Swiss team.
For the 2013/14 season, Lamidi moved within the regional leagues to promoted KFC Uerdingen 05 in the Regional League West . There he received a contract until 2015. After he terminated his contract in January 2015, he moved to BSV Rehden for the remainder of the second half of the season . For the 2015/16 season Lamidi moved to the Danish second division club Vejle BK , after which he returned to BSV Rehden.
During the winter break he joined the league club FC Kray . But with the Krayers Lamidi missed relegation and rose with them from the Oberliga to the Landesliga. After relegation, he joined the SSVg Velbert and thus remained in the Oberliga Niederrhein . For the 2018/19 season, he moved to league competitor Ratingen 04/19 .
