Moskowka ( Ukrainian and Russian Московка ; German Rosenfeld or "No. 8" ) is a village in the north of the Ukrainian Oblast of Zaporizhia with about 400 inhabitants (2001).
The village, founded in 1780 as "Colony No. 8" or Rosenfeld by German settlers, was renamed in 1942 after the river flowing through the village in Moskowka . Moskowka is the administrative center of the same name, 72.993 km² District Municipality in the south of Rajon Vilnyansk to which even the villages Blahowischtschenske ( Благовіщенське ) Wesseliwske ( Веселівське ) Mykilske ( Микільське ) Rajske ( Райське ) and Ukromne ( Укромне ) belong.
The village is located on the bank of the Mokraja Moskowka ( Мокрая Московка ), a 62 km long left tributary of the Dnieper , 16 km southeast of the district center of Vilnjansk and 43 km east of the Oblast center of Zaporizhia .
