Mount Aciar is a 1300 m high mountain on the Brabant Island in the Palmer Archipelago . It rises in the formation areas of the Rush Glacier and the Jenner Glacier in the Solvay Mountains .
The name Monte Primer Teniente Aciar first appeared on an Argentine map in 1957. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1960 in Mount Ehrlich after the German medic Paul Ehrlich (1854-1915). However, the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names stuck to the original name of the mountain in 1965, which in Argentina is now called Monte Aciar for short .
