Mount Arthur is a 1290 m high mountain in the East Antarctic Enderbyland . It rises immediately west of Mount Douglas and 6 km northwest of Simpson Peak at the western end of the Scott Mountains .
The mountain was mapped using aerial photographs taken in 1956 on a research trip part of the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions . The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia (ANCA) named the mountain on November 24, 1961 after the electrician John T. Arthur, who worked at Mawson Station in 1960 .
