Mount Benson is a 2270  m high mountain in the west Antarctic Ellsworthland . It rises on the northeast flank of the Thomas Glacier 6.5 km east of Mount Osborne in the southeast part of the Sentinel Range of the Ellsworth Mountains .

The United States Geological Survey mapped it based on its own measurements and aerial photographs of the United States Navy between 1957 and 1959. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1961 after Robert F. Benson, seismologist at the Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station in the International Geophysical Year (1957 -1958).
