Mount Brabec is a 2460 m high mountain in East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Mountaineer Range it rises 16 km north of Mount Monteagle from the east face of the Aviator Glacier .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it on the basis of its own measurements and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1960 to 1964. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1969 after Lieutenant Commander Richard Curtis Brabec (1930-2007), commander of a Lockheed C- 130 Hercules in Operation Deep Freeze in 1966.
