Mount Brocoum

Mount Brocoum is a 1700  m high mountain in Palmerland on the Antarctic Peninsula . It is the dominant elevation of the northeast ridge of the Columbia Mountains .

The United States Geological Survey mapped the mountain in 1974. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1976 after Stephan John Brocoum (1941-2015) and his wife Alice V. Brocoum, geologist from Columbia University , who was part of the United States Antarctic Research Program in the late 1960s and early 1970s, studies in the area around the island arc Scotia arc in the Scotia Sea had made.
